Show and Tell

Natalie from Highfields has an area in her garden, along a fenceline, that has proven to be a difficult spot to grow plants.  After trialing and losing a few options, Natalie then decided to use the local paper daisy, (Xerochrysum bracteatum), and they are  absolutely thriving!

She has also had a go at planting the lovely Daisy Goodenia, (Goodenia bellidifolia subsp. argentea), and it’s doing really well.

Aidan from Brisbane has sent me some lovely photos of flowering plants in his garden. This one is the wild flower known as grass lily, (Murdannia graminea).

His crowded-leaved wattle, (Acacia conferta) is looking fantastic with loads of flowers! It’s really inspiring to meet a young person who is so enthusiastic about local native species.
